Malaysian Chief of Navy, Admiral Tan Sri Mohd Reza bin Mohd Sany received a courtesy visit from the Malaysia Shipowners Association (MASA) Chairman, Datoโ Ir Abdul Hak Md Amin today.
Among the issues discussed were the maritime security and the conversion of competency of ex-naval officers wanting to join the merchant fleet.

Chief of Defence Force, YBhg. General Tan Sri Datoโ Sri Haji Affendi bin Haji Buang RMAF received a courtesy visit from the Malaysia Shipownersโ Association (MASA), represented by Chairman Datoโ Ir. Abdul Hak Md Amin and accompanied by Secretary General Shaharuzzaman Baharum.
The one-and-a-half-hour meeting centred on cooperation, security issues, piracy and human resource development of ex-servicemen in the merchant fleet.
MASA expressed sincere appreciation to the Ministry of Defence in keeping our waters safe and their support in monitoring our shipping voyage through the areas of Straits of Malacca, South China Sea and Sulu Sea.
