Deputy Minister of Transport, YB Tuan Haji Hasbi bin Haji Habibollah received a courtesy visit from the Malaysia Shipowners’ Association (MASA), represented by Chairman Dato’ Ir. Abdul Hak Md Amin and accompanied by Vice Chairman Hazrin Hasan and Secretary General Shaharuzzaman Baharum.
Following the Government’s announcement on 1 September 2020 which barred long-term pass holders from India, Indonesia, Philippines entry into Malaysia, the Immigration Department Malaysia has issued a circular to further clarify the matter: –
i) Pemastautin Tetap (PR) ii) Pas Program Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) iii) Semua Ekspatriat – Pas Penggajian (Kategori I, II, dan III), Pas Residen-Talent (RPT), Pas Lawatan Ikhtisas (Kategori Pakar) dan Pas Tanggungan. iv) Pas Residen v) Pas Suami/Isteri/Anak kepada Warganegara vi) Pas Pelajar vii) Pas Lawatan Kerja Sementara
i) Diplomat ii) Anak Kapal yang masuk bagi menjalankan aktiviti sign-on atau joint ship. |

Malaysian Chief of Navy, Admiral Tan Sri Mohd Reza bin Mohd Sany received a courtesy visit from the Malaysia Shipowners Association (MASA) Chairman, Dato’ Ir Abdul Hak Md Amin today.
Among the issues discussed were the maritime security and the conversion of competency of ex-naval officers wanting to join the merchant fleet.

Chief of Defence Force, YBhg. General Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Haji Affendi bin Haji Buang RMAF received a courtesy visit from the Malaysia Shipowners’ Association (MASA), represented by Chairman Dato’ Ir. Abdul Hak Md Amin and accompanied by Secretary General Shaharuzzaman Baharum.
The one-and-a-half-hour meeting centred on cooperation, security issues, piracy and human resource development of ex-servicemen in the merchant fleet.
MASA expressed sincere appreciation to the Ministry of Defence in keeping our waters safe and their support in monitoring our shipping voyage through the areas of Straits of Malacca, South China Sea and Sulu Sea.
